Great Lunar Partial Eclipse

The weather was kind and great views of the partial eclipse of the Moon were seen - marking the 50th anniversary to the day for the Apollo 11 launch and that iconic countdown of Jack King - the NASA Public Relations Officer. On my photo, I’ve placed a blue dot where the Apollo 11 landing site was on the Sea of Tranquility.

As the Moon came into view from my lounge window, I took another image and you can see how the shadow has altered position and the red colouring has gone.
