David and Liz Martin set up Starlearner in August 2007 with the aim of:
- Providing high quality resources for Astronomy which are quick and easy to access
- Producing a website www.starlearner.com covering every area of Astronomy
- Supporting adults with a distance learning programme for GCSE Astronomy
- Running training courses for teachers
- Giving talks about Astronomy and running holiday experience breaks
We have achieved each of our aims – so what next?
Having received endorsement from Edexcel and OCR for our e-textbooks, we aim to cover every course with every resource for Astronomy for all UK examination boards. Endorsement from the examination boards shows our level of commitment to provide high quality resources.
If you are a school outside the UK, our resources are available for you too. We will be adding the IGCSE Astronomy sections to our website soon. Get in touch, we would love to hear from you.
